Université Paris-Est Créteil
The University Paris-Est Créteil is one of SABA Project’s key stakeholders, as it represents our primary motivation for launching this development initiative. Indeed, the implementation of this project falls within the framework of the Master’s Degree we are currently completing.

UPEC, also known as the former Paris XII, is a French multidisciplinary university located in the Val-de-Marne department. Comprised of seven faculties, four institutes, three schools and thirty two research laboratories, the university is strongly present in all areas of knowledge.
As a major actor in the dissemination of scientific and technological culture, the establishment has also been actively involved in the diversification of its partnerships, as innovation and research play an important role in meeting today’s economic challenges. Within this context, several partnerships have been signed by UPEC to support socioeconomic and other current matters, and to encourage students to take part in innovative projects.
The Ghana Permaculture Institute
Based in Techiman, in the Brong-Ahafo region of Ghana, the Ghana Permaculture Institute is an NGO mostly engaged in the implementation of sustainable agriculture projects.
Since its foundation, on January 1st, 2002, it has been actively working to build and maintain a stable food system, take care of local ecosystems and improve the quality of life in rural areas.

This year, the Ghana Permaculture Institute agreed to partner with us and support our field mission in Ghana, sharing our aspiration of encouraging the adoption of alternative farming practices that are respectful of the environment and of farmers’ health. Within the framework of our collaboration, we plan to conduct visits to farms and hold workshops. At SABA Project, we believe that cooperating with a local NGO experienced in sustainable agriculture is the best way to help improve the livelihoods of rural communities .
